Sunny has structured, advised, or managed over $2 billion in assets across entertainment, IP, residential real estate, unsecured consumer debt, tax liens and music. Prior to founding Owlpoint, he was an Asset Manager at Brevet Capital overseeing $350+ million of IP investments, held senior roles at HomeBridge Financial Services, including co-managing HomeBridge's $20 billion MSR portfolio, and was a founding member of TSG Entertainment — now a leading independent film financing company with over $2 billion in financed content.

He began his career in 2003 at Dassault Systèmes, working on engineering design and simulation for Boeing and Honda Formula 1. In 2008, he joined Silar Advisors' deal-structuring team, where he worked on transactions including the $13 billion acquisition of IndyMac from the FDIC in the then-largest Public-Private Investment Partnership (PPIP), as well as on OnDeck Capital and Service Finance Corporation — two of the pioneers in the marketplace lending/fintech sector. He also helped manage Silar's distressed residential portfolio through the GFC.

He holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a dual-degree from IIT Kharagpur, is a CFA Charterholder, and has completed a Data Science and Machine Learning specialization from Johns Hopkins University.
