CIO & Co-Founder

Vivek has sourced, structured, and managed alternative credit transactions across a broad range of asset classes, deploying capital through joint ventures, senior secured loans, specialty finance company launches, and asset acquisitions. As a Managing Director and founding member of Arena Investors — a New York-based alternative credit manager with approximately $4 billion in AUM — his sectors span aviation, consumer credit (performing and charged-off), IP licensing, trade receivables finance, equipment finance, Latin American markets, fintech, distressed and special situations, and niche real estate — with transactions including aviation joint ventures for airframe part-outs, engine leasing, and helicopter finance; acquiring and overseeing an IP licensing company; and launching mid-ticket equipment leasing and digital advertising receivables platforms.

Prior to Arena, he spent over a decade at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a trader on the secondary ABS desk; before that he managed distressed assets during the GFC — including assuming analytical responsibility for a $22 billion non-agency residential portfolio; managed the investment portfolio at Merrill Lynch Bank; and earlier held roles in ABS structuring, origination and principal finance. He began his career in software engineering before joining Merrill Lynch in 2000 as a developer on the firm's proprietary ABS/MBS structuring system.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from CIT, India.
